Typefaces and Fonts?
Traditionally, "typeface" and "font" were understood as different terms, never considered synonymous. It used to be that a typeface was made out of metal, each letter needed to be trimmed from the pieces of alloy individually. The typeface was the intended visual aspect of the graphic symbols themselves, while the font face was a single typeface in 1 size, one way, and one weight .
As sure as day turns into night the graphics industry has evolved. Today we are talking about hundreds, if not thousands of font syles or choices, and we're not talking about type readied from metal either. To busy people like you and I (Amateur graphic designers) "font" and "typeface" stand for are synonomous.

Plan and execute carefully...ensuring branding longevity
A logo had better be helpful as your long-run branding instrument, announcing a very unclouded precise message. Spend the time it will require to design a logo for the distance, instead of swopping your logo tag in for a new one every year. A professional graphic artist will form your logotype a classic and offer many different concepts. Just like Toyota, Amazon.com, and Chrysler, your corporate icon can proceed on eternally, making your business noteworthy and global. |
