Tiff Files
Tif(f) file(CMYK Process Color) - 300 dpi high resolution (dpi means dots per inch). Whlie using a printers loop (enlargening instrument) you will see pixels. DPI (dots per inch) and PPI (pixels per inch) are often weighed as meaning the same thing
.
The tiff file is most often used for printing on a lithographic publishing equipment. CMYK colour symbolizes the 4 colours implemented in "Four Color Process Printing". Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and the K (Kilo) which actually stands for Black. This file format is called for by reproduction houses, quite often as a favorite.
Remember your monitor and your home/office printer utilize RGB color. RGB coloration means Red, Green, Blue. Your electronic computer usually doesn't use the right filters to read process colours. Do not be alarmed, this is entirely normal and when brought out on a lithographic press the colorings will print correctly. Today's reproduction equipment can produce hundreds more variants of the colouring spectrum. You also may notice a modest difference in the end print in comparison to what you would be able to run on a house office desktop printer.
Ideal for:
Professional Business Printing.
Digital office printing that supports CMYK colouration.
