The tif file is best most commonly used for printing on a lithographic offset printing press. The CMYK coloration represents the four colorings utilised in "Process Printing". Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and the K (Kilo) actually implies Black. This data format is most commonly requested by printing companies.

Don't forget your computing machine projection screen and your home/office desktop printer utilizes RGB color. RGB colour stands for Red, Green, Blue. Your Computer usually does not have the right filters to read process colour.
